A beautiful Marimekko duvet cover with the Unikko design in orange. The duvet cover is 240x220 and is supplied without pillowcases. You can order these separately (per piece). Hand holes at the top corners make changing the covers easy. Both sides of the duvet cover have the same design.

The duvet cover with Unikko pattern is made of unbleached 200 TC organic percale cotton and is washable at 60 degrees. Follow the washing instructions on the label of the product, so you will enjoy it for years to come.

Marimekko Unikko design

The Unikko design was created in 1964 by Maija Isola and has since become an international icon of marimekko. Marimekko's founder, Armi Ratia, believed that it was not possible to capture the true essence of real flowers in print. That is why floral prints were previously excluded from Marimekko's collections.

Maija Isola therefore designed Unikko as an abstraction of a flower instead of a photorealistic representation. Today, Unikko is a powerful emblem of joy and creativity, seamlessly integrated into Marimekko's design identity.

2024 is the year that Marimekko celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Unikko design. Special editions, sometimes with a link in terms of colors to the 1960s, but also new designs are released that year.

Bed textiles from Marimekko

As standard, no pillowcases are supplied with Marimekko duvet covers. This is because there are many different pillows on the market. The pillow sizes also vary enormously in the Netherlands. Marimekko has therefore chosen to supply the pillowcases separately, so that everyone can make their own suitable choice. Marimekko also had to make a choice in the large amount of different formats in the world. It is therefore possible that not exactly your size is available, but perhaps one that comes close.
