Emelie Gårdeler is an illustrator and graphic designer and founded the brand IMIform in 2015. For a few years now she has been making work again under her own name Emelie Gårdeler. She lives in Stockholm and her work ranges from designing cards and posters to illustrating children's books. She works with many different graphic art techniques, such as collography and screen printing.
She gets her inspiration from many everyday things, such as walks in the woods, conversations and books. On her camera she captures textures and shapes that interest her.
By using different techniques and experiments, Emelie knows how to create the most magical landscapes. Almost all her prints are created by assembling water-dyed clippings on a blank sheet. She mixes different techniques, usually starting with acrylic paint and then moving on to colored pencils and ink. She then scans the image and continues to work on it digitally until it is finished.
Her goal is to work as ethically as environmentally friendly, from the first brush stroke to the finished product. From the production in Sweden, she tries to send everything as good as possible, for example reusing the shipping boxes from her suppliers.
Her collection consists of posters, cards and cushion covers. All in the same beautiful color range, so you can combine everything nicely with each other. The cards are printed in A5 format, perfect for framing. Also nice to give a framed gift to a birthday boy or girl.
