By Wirth is led by Signe and Sune Wirth Engelund. Together with their team, they design timeless products. Products that are sustainable and that you can enjoy for a long time. The designs are not only decorative, but mostly very functional. You can certainly describe their style as a warm Scandinavian style, they use many natural materials and their designs are simple and stylish.
Their vision is making beautifull everyday products that can withstand frequent use and can last for years. A design that can be seamlessly integrated into any style and simplifies your daily busy life. Timeless designs are their focus, because they want to prevent items from going out of fashion and being replaced by the latest trends. They want to encourage people to take good care of and maintain their items, to allow them to enjoy them for an extra long time. All items may grow old in their beauty due to time and use.
By Wirth only works with real natural materials, such as vegetable tanned leather and FSC Certified. They believe that these materials are beautiful although they are not flawless, but that's the beauty of it. Vegetable tanned leather says something about tanning the skins they use. Natural materials such as tree bark are used with the tanning. By Wirth uses for their furniture or the Danish company Sørensen, that has more design.
Signe and Sune are a real fan of oak wood and therefore only use FSC Certified. FSC stands for wood that has been harvested from forests that are managed responsibly, socially, environmentally aware and economically viable.
Their collection started with candleholders, magazine holders, cardholders and magnets. Slowly they added items for the bathroom such as the beautiful toilet roll holder and towel holder and for the kitchen, such as a kitchen roll holder. All made from the beautiful combination of oak and leather. The collection has grown considerably in the last years and in the meantime beautiful furniture have been added. By Wirth still does us surprise with their new collections.
