Duvet cover made of airy fabric - what is Seersucker fabric?

Seersucker is a thin, puckered cotton fabric. The name comes from the Persian *shîr o shakar* ("milk and sugar"), referring to the combination of smooth and rough textures in the fabric. A special weaving technique creates the puckered effect by feeding some threads faster than others. This results in a lightweight structure that doesn’t cling to the skin, making it ideal for warm weather. Ironing is also unnecessary.

Marimekko Unikko design

Unikko, symbol of creativity, was created at a time when there were hardly any floral motifs in Marimekko's collections. However, Maija Isola was fascinated by the theme of flowers and decided to create a whole series of original floral prints.
