Marimekko Unikko Tray 31cm light brown

This lightweight Unikko tray from Marimekko is made of laminated birch plywood and features the light brown Pieni Unikko design. The natural pattern of the birch plywood is visible beneath the design, with visible wood grain and color tone variations. The birch plywood pattern makes each tray unique.

We recommend wiping the tray with a damp cloth or hand washing. Do not soak the tray in water.

Marimekko serie Unikko

The Unikko design was created in 1964 by Maija Isola and has since become an international icon of marimekko. Marimekko's founder, Armi Ratia, believed that it was not possible to capture the true essence of real flowers in print. That is why floral prints were previously excluded from Marimekko's collections.

Maija Isola therefore designed Unikko as an abstraction of a flower instead of a photorealistic representation. Today, Unikko is a powerful emblem of joy and creativity, seamlessly integrated into Marimekko's design identity.
