Marimekko Unikko Solid towel 50x70cm charcoal

Beautiful Unikko towel from Marimekko in charcoal, 50x70cm. The colors are opposite on the other side of the towel.

The towel is terry woven, so it feels nice and soft and dries well. On the long side there is a loop halfway through from which you can hang the towel. The towel is made of organic cotton terry.

The size of the towel 50x70cm makes it perfect for the bathroom or kitchen.

Marimekko Unikko dessin

The Unikko (poppy) design was born in 1964 after Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, announced that Marimekko would never print a floral pattern. Maija Isola refused to follow Armi's orders and - in protest - created a whole series of beautiful floral prints. One of them was Unikko, which has become a story of creativity, strength, courage and confidence in itself.
