This Pieni Unikko tea towel from Marimekko is made of unbleached cotton, printed in Helsinki. 

The tea towel is made of a mix of 57% organic cotton and 43% linen.

Marimekko series Unikko

The Unikko design was created in 1964 by Maija Isola and has since become an international icon of marimekko. Marimekko's founder, Armi Ratia, believed that it was not possible to capture the true essence of real flowers in print. That is why floral prints were previously excluded from Marimekko's collections.

Maija Isola therefore designed Unikko as an abstraction of a flower instead of a photorealistic representation. Today, Unikko is a powerful emblem of joy and creativity, seamlessly integrated into Marimekko's design identity.
