The Marimekko placemat with the Pieni Kukasta kukkaan design is made of heavyweight cotton with an organic acrylic coating. Thanks to the protective finish, the placemat is easy to clean with a damp cloth.

The marimekko kitchen textiles are sewn with the full width of the fabric, which means that the appearance may vary slightly. Each item is unique. The placemat is double-sided with the same fabric.

Erja Hirvi brought the cheerfully blooming Kukasta Kukkaan print to life during a creative burst at her summer residence, fully inspired by flowers. The loosely composed pattern emerged while painting and captured the countless ways flowers appear in nature. The Finnish name of the design translates to "from flower to flower" – a reference to the playful flight of bumblebees among summer flowers.
